Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

After approval, we will process your refund, and the amount will be credited back to your original payment method within several days.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

Personalized items, such as those with your name or boat name, cannot be returned.

To initiate a return, please email us at contact@stitchandsail.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
Returns must be requested within 14 days of receiving your order.

Once your return is registered, it must be shipped within 3 days.
Late returns unfortunately cannot be refunded. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.

Please make sure to include a note with your order number in the package.
If you’re returning items from multiple orders, clearly list each item along with its order number.

We can only accept returns if the items are unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and still have the original tags (if they were included at delivery). Once we receive your return, we will inspect it and issue a refund within 7 days.
If your refund takes unusually long, feel free to reach out to us.

If you received an incorrect or damaged item, we will send you a free return label for an exchange. Just send us a quick email.

We recommend shipping your return via Hermes (automatically insured) or DHL with tracking.
If you send the return without tracking and the parcel gets lost, you are responsible.
Refunds are only issued once we have received the returned items.
If you ship with insurance, the carrier is liable for lost packages and you will be reimbursed accordingly.
